Straight from the Wilderness
Randy’s testimony isn’t merely an account of a revival of the Spirit that occurred in his life as he reached his “rock bottom.” It’s a scripture-based message that addresses such concepts as:

critical insight
In many of his presentations, Randy shares critical insight into the considerations and tactics of addressing addictions and other harmful behaviors with friends and loved ones.
These difficult conversations must be undertaken with care, concern and love. Regardless of the individual’s negatively altered state of mind, the addict or alcoholic is ultimately responsible for the damage they are inflicting on themselves and their relationships with others. Likewise, they must make the decision to bring about change in their lives.
Randy explores the various means to lead the person toward that decision and offers resources and other tools that may help facilitate that decision.

According to the 2023 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), 28.9 million people ages 12 and older were diagnosed with Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD). To put that in perspective, that’s almost equal to the population of the state of Texas. More concerning is the number of our youth from the ages of 12-17 who were diagnosed.
Unfortunately, we’ve reached a point in our society in which almost everyone knows someone who is addicted to drugs, alcohol or both. Left unchecked, the course of their respective lives will invariably take a fatal turn. The insight Randy offers is not a how-to process for interventions, although he offers related resources. The approaches he discusses include tips for engaging these individuals, as well as guidelines for assessing when and how. He also includes instances when such an engagement should be avoided.
